- "There has been a lot of hard work, especially in the early years, but I am eternally grateful for the opportunity I was given and thoroughly enjoy my choice. I am absolutely certain that this is my dream job, and I look forward to my future here.

Thorjussen was only 18 years old when an opportunity arose at 24SevenOffice. She pursued a general studies track in high school, and one of her subjects was information technology.

- "I have always been interested in the field, but in high school, I had the chance to properly explore it, and I really enjoyed it. Ever since I was little, I've been curious about what lies behind it, and to this day, I'm still eager to find out. That's why the developer job suits me perfectly."

It was through athletics that the 22-year-old gained insight into 24SevenOffice. Her former track coach works at 24SevenOffice and assisted her during this time.

- "I talked a lot with him during that period, and he helped me with one of my school assignments. He looked it over, rewrote everything, and returned it. But he saw something positive in what I was doing and gave me an opportunity at 24SevenOffice," says Charlotte with a twinkle in her eye.

After two years of constant learning, Thorjussen secured a permanent job and has now chosen to study computer engineering at the University of Grimstad.

- "In 24SevenOffice, the standard is high, and I wanted to acquire more knowledge about the field. Education is important, and I am now working part-time while completing my computer engineering studies in Grimstad. I like that it is a solution-oriented and flexible workplace."

Charlotte had an early interest in information technology and landed her dream job as a developer at 24SevenOffice.

The 22-year-old plans to continue working at 24SevenOffice after school, but is unsure if it will be at Klosterøya in Skien where she started.

"I might want to move to a bigger city when I finish my studies. That's what's great about working here. It's so flexible. You have all the options, especially when there are offices in several larger cities than Skien."

24SevenOffice is constantly working on raising the competence level among its employees, and new this year are individual budgets that employees can use to acquire more knowledge.

Every single day, I learn something new at work. My colleagues are committed to continuous learning, and since day one, I have been supported in an excellent way.

— Charlotte Thorjussen, Developer at 24SevenOffice

We have dedicated days where we can delve into desired topics, attend seminars, and there is room for development and skill enhancement all the time in this job. We work as a large team, and everyone gets to participate in knowledge enhancement. The fact that you can choose which technology to use when performing your tasks is also a big plus for me.

The work environment is everything for Thorjussen. Being able to come to work and form new friendships means a lot to Charlotte.

"The environment means a lot to me; there's always someone I can discuss professional topics with, but there's also room for fun and jokes. There's a mix of all ages in the office, and now the balance between women and men has also improved a lot. My colleagues are engaged in their work, and it rubs off on me. You want to perform well and do your best. The days are varied, and that's why I enjoy it so much.
